Interests

Discrete Computing

I'm interested in running software on everything, from a tiny GD32VF103 microcontroller to a dual Xeon server. Raspberry Pi's are my current area of most interest, as they have enough power for desktop applications while not requiring more than 15 Watts at peak load. I believe that computing power will only become more ubiquitous with time, and I plan to stay on the cutting-edge of this transition.

Server Administration

This website used to be running on an Azure VM, running Nginx on Debian 10. It has been moved to Cloudflare Pages due to the ease of use for such a simple website. I've used many different GNU/Linux and BSD distros such as Fedora, Red Hat, Debian, Ubunto, Gentoo, Arch, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD. Debian has been my go-to choice for servers and workstations historically, as it's stable, secure, easy to use, and committed to open source.

PC Building and Gaming

Beyond schoolwork, I spend plenty of time at my computer playing games. Building custom PCs has been a hobby of mine since high school, and I have no reason to stop now. I helped host a Building a Computer Workshop at UTK, and would love to help others learn about PC building again in the future.

Board Gaming

From Chess to Scythe, I've played a lot of different board games over the years. I tend to like games with lots of strategy and planning, such as Lords of Waterdeep, Scythe, and Dominion.
